Ranzania japonica (Togakushisou)

Ranzania japonica (Togakushisou, Togakushishouma) is the endemic plants in Japan. Ranzania is also endemic genus in Japan, and monotypic genus. There are no similar species in the world. Togakushi is the name of a place in Nagano Prefecture.
It grows rarely in the woodlands in the areas of heavy snowfall. It distributes from Aomori to Toyama Prefectures.
